Two poems by Mariangela Canzi

We reject war
as useless
is our weapon

We reject inequality
as dangerous
is our dream

We reject illiteracy
as unfair
is our right

We reject walls
as vain
is our goal.

Against the mafia

Daring bright men
who fought against
a strong and cruel
honest rare men
who believed
in justice

A bloody bomb
killed them

No peace no rest
for their souls
still floating
to the ground

The truth lay
on their minds
the cowards
hid it away.

Mariangela Canzi is Italian mother tongue, translator. Her passion is English language and literature. She started writing poems about two years ago. It was a joke, it is now a challenge and a pleasure. She tries to express her feelings and thoughts about life and the world.
