Nothing but the Dead by Stephen Jarrell Williams

Nothing but the dead
Seemingly running our government

Their putrid breath of deceit
Whenever delivering a speech

Their eyes glazed and corkscrewed
With the darkness of their tombs

Expelling gas and dripping decay
Wherever the stiffs walk

And we elected them
Embalmed with our sweat and blood.
